If you were my younger sibling, and you were about to graduate, I’d tell you one thing before anything else:
Please don’t choose a career just because everyone around you is choosing it.
Not because your friend is doing it.
Not because your cousin got a great package doing it.
Not because your parents’ friend said, “Is field mein bohot scope hai.”
And definitely not because everyone on LinkedIn seems to be doing the same thing.
Because here’s the thing:
They don’t have to live your career. You do.
Your friends don’t know what makes you curious at 11 PM.
Your cousins don’t know what kind of work makes you lose track of time.
And society definitely doesn’t know what you’re capable of.
You have to find that out.
And you don’t have to figure it out in one day.
Give yourself permission to try.
If you’re confused about what you want to do, take internships.
Try one field for three months.
Then try something completely different.
Work in content.
Try social media.
Explore sales.
Learn accounting.
Try coding.
Experiment with design.
You might discover something you absolutely love.
Or you might discover something you never want to do again.
Both are valuable discoveries.
Because spending a few months trying different things is far better than spending years doing something you secretly hate just because you were afraid to choose differently.
Think about it.
If you’re naturally good at creating content and enjoy communicating, maybe social media, content creation or marketing could be worth exploring.
If numbers genuinely interest you, maybe accounting, finance or analytics could be your thing.
If you enjoy building things, solving problems and coding, maybe development is worth exploring.
There are so many possibilities.
Your first job doesn’t have to be your final answer.
It can simply be your next experiment.
And please don't make the mistake of thinking you're behind because someone your age already has a job, a fancy title, or a five-year plan.
You don't know their journey.
And they don't know yours.
Some people figure it out at 20.
Some at 25.
Some at 30.
Some change careers after spending ten years in one.
There is no deadline for figuring out what kind of work makes you happy.
So if you're graduating in the next few months, or you've just graduated and you're sitting there wondering,
“What am I even supposed to do with my life?”
Start exploring.
Learn a skill.
Take an internship.
Build something.
Talk to people working in different fields.
Try things.
And pay attention to what makes you think:
“I could actually see myself doing this.”
Because choosing a career is not about finding the option that looks best on someone else's timeline.
It's about finding something that makes sense on yours.
If you were my younger sibling, that's what I'd tell you:
Don't rush just because everyone else is running.
Take your time.
Try different things.
Find what you're good at.
Find what you enjoy.
That’s why we’re here at Kaabil.
